Every year hometown heroes Punk Rock Project works tirelessly to put together the Houston Punkfest to raise money and awareness for whatever group that is near and dear to them. Due to so many being hurt by Hurricane Harvey, the Houston Food Bank needs some extra help and they're going to get everything we can give 'em.
The Hates are proud to be a part of the 2018 lineup.
This year's show will be held at the Fabulous Continental Club!
The Hates are back after over a year waiting for our fearless leader Christian to recover from everything that 2017 could throw at him, including shoulder surgery and cancer! Join us for a killer night of great punk and celebration with:
$50 Goat (featuring members of the Texas Mod Crushers)
Lizzie Boredom (from Dallas)
and Room 101 (from New Orleans)
Our fearless leader, Christian, is about to have major surgery done on his shoulder- injured from decades of slinging amps and guitars all around the Bayou City, the Lone Star state, and this great nation of punk. He'll be out of work for at least 3 months, and we want to show our support for him as he recovers. Come join us to send him off right with Gut Radio, Screech of Death, and Mell Hell & the Texas Mod Crushers. There will be a silent auction with rare Hates memorabilia and a raffle of some kickass items donated by some of our punk community's best.
This will be the last time The Hates play in a while, so come start a pit and oi! with us all night!
Houston may not get enough props for being a musical city but we've got a killer vibe going on with all kinds of great bands from across all kinds of genres. Rap, funk, salsa, metal, reggae, country, soul, punk- and more!
SLM Buzz has set up this showcase to honor our diverse music scene and reminds us all support each other- and at this first annual event also they're giving us an award.
The Local Music Legends Award! It's crazy, but so rad. And not bad for a bunch of old guys, right?Join us at Scout Bar for a night of great music from all over the Bayou City, including some old school punk!
Punk rock saves the day!You know we take care of our own, and John Anderson from Doomsday Massacre needs our help. He's been dealing with some health issues lately and we want to make sure he comes out the other side better than ever. Join us and our friends in The Cops, Fur Coats, Screech of Death, Texas Massacre, and members of Doomsday Massacre for a night you won't forget!
